Fall in the Garden
Four afternoons of growing, tasting, creating, and exploring together. Each class is a stand-alone adventure designed for curious kids in 1st–5th grade.
SEPTEMBER 3, 10 & 24 + OCTOBER 8 • 4:00–5:30 PM • AT THE GARDEN
SEPTEMBER 3 — COOL AS A CUCUMBER
Learn all about cucumbers—from how their vines grow and curl to knowing when they’re ready to harvest. Kids will explore the garden, harvest cucumbers, prepare a fresh cucumber snack, and pack their own quick-pickle jar to take home.
1st–5th Grade • 4:00–5:30 PM • $35
SEPTEMBER 10 — TOTALLY TOMATOES
Explore the colorful world of tomatoes! We’ll investigate how tomato plants grow, compare varieties, practice harvesting ripe fruit, and discover why tomatoes taste different. Kids will make garden-fresh tomato bruschetta and save seeds for next season.
1st–5th Grade • 4:00–5:30 PM • $35
SEPTEMBER 24 — SUNFLOWER POWER
Meet one of the garden’s tallest and hardest-working flowers. Kids will explore the sunflower life cycle, discover how sunflowers support pollinators and birds, harvest seeds, and make a sunflower-inspired snack. Each child will prepare a packet of seeds to plant next spring.

OCTOBER 8 — PUMPKIN PATCH PARTY
Celebrate fall by exploring how pumpkins grow from a tiny seed into a sprawling vine. Kids will investigate pumpkins inside and out, harvest or examine garden pumpkins, make a cozy pumpkin snack, and take home seeds for next year’s patch.
