Community Garden Plots
Get your Community Garden Plot now! Registration is open for 2026 Community Garden Plots. Join Summit County’s only community garden! Gardening at high altitude has its challenges, but so many rewards, especially when you are in community with other growers. While you look forward to fresh flowers, vegetables, and herbs, you learn from other gardeners and share your own tips, make new friends, connect with nature, and participate in garden events. Our Garden staff is there to support you.
Gardening Organically
Summit Community Gardens is committed to organic gardening and requires the same from our gardeners. The use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides is not allowed. A garden plot is a commitment of time and constant effort. You should expect to spend 2-3 hours a week during the season.
Reserving and Renewing Your Garden Plot
Assignment of garden plots is first-come, first served. The standard plot will be approximately 4’ by 16’.
Community gardeners must volunteer a minimum of 8 hours each season. If you cannot make this commitment, you can purchase a “Volunteer Buyout”
Gardeners who maintain their plots, volunteer, and abide by community norms may renew their same plot for the following season.
Community Garden Plot 2026 - Scholarship

Community garden plots sold out? Add your name to the waitlist and we’ll contact you as soon as a space opens up. There is usually some turn over early in the season so waitlisted gardeners have a good chance of getting one.
Help a neighbor grow! Your sponsorship provides one full garden plot for a community member who otherwise couldn’t afford to participate this season.
