Season Extenders

Growing at this elevation can be a challenge when it comes to weather! We may experience frosts throughout each month of the season. Garden Manager, Jess recommends checking the forecast on multiple apps or sources very regularly - when temperatures dip below 40 degrees, cold-sensitive plants will need to be covered or they may die or become damaged.

You can cover your plants with row cover draped over hoops or other structures and secured at the sides. These will protect plants from harsh temperatures. SCG-EATS sells season extension kits, designed to fit the garden plots.
