La Milpa Planting Starts (and Seeds)

Together, we will gather as a community for the first La Milpa event of the season: planting of the seeds and the starts (baby plants) in the Community Garden. We acknowledge ancestral and current Indigenous Maya & Mesoamerican practices as we give gratitude to the land and plant culturally-relevant crops that complement La Milpa. This gathering will be in Spanish and English. A sample of delicious, traditional food will be offered. Registration is required for this free event. Doors open at 5 p.m.; program begins at 5:30.
