This camp explores nature as art, and how creativity, food, and gardening shape culture locally and around the world. As campers forage and create art with natural materials, they will learn about the history of Park City and Summit County. Through hands-on gardening, cooking from the harvest, daily art and movement, campers will discover how food, land, and culture are deeply connected across communities.
Beyond the Garden (optional)
1pm - 3 pm
Extend your camper’s day with our Beyond the Garden field trip experience. Beyond the Garden is an optional afternoon extension from 1-3 p.m. where campers travel off-site to connect gardening and cooking to local history, art, and nature through immersive community experiences.
Weekly Schedule:
• Monday: Local history exploration at Park City Museum
• Tuesday: Gallery visit and visual exploration at Kimball Arts Center
• Wednesday: Nature discovery experience at Swaner Preserve
• Thursday: Hands on cooking experience at Shepherd of the Mountain Church kitchen
We will travel together via High Valley Transit bus. Pickup will be at that day’s field trip location at 3:00 p.m.
A detailed email with all logistics, transportation details, and pickup information will be sent before your camp week begins.
